A global service company, shaped by over 600 acquisitions, had become fragmented in culture and decentralized in its offerings. 

With operations spanning 35+ countries and 340,000 people, it needed to unify the organization around a shared purpose and customer-centric mindset.

A reminder about its foundation guided executives in reconnecting the business to its original mission from 1901 anchoring them in legacy purpose, not just process.

The result: In a global survey, 94% of leaders reported a strong sense of belonging.

3. Revolutionizing the customer and employee experience

A 70-year-old FMCG veteran, committed to operational excellence and disciplined standardization. Challenged by competitor’s redefined digital innovation.

Hiring 350 developers was only the beginning; they were integrated into the company’s foundation and structure then empowered to influence its future. 

It wasn’t just trends in technology or marketing. Aligning every stakeholder around innovation while respecting history and a legacy of customer and employee mindset. 

The result: A new brand experience anchored in legacy providing a digital platform for 170M loyalty customers. Plus 1M frontline employees connected via an internal digital eco-system.

REAL-Ex was invited to review the impact the P&C team had created during Monta’s early growth, and how to increase value creation within the broader business story.

We identified five strategic priorities to help the function focus its energy and influence in the next stage of growth.

One of these, focused on leadership and communication, was quickly embraced by the management team. It helped C-suit leaders reconnect with Monta’s purpose and align their voice with the values and mission that had defined the company’s very successful journey so far.
